Video Game Passion

My son just loves video games so I wanted to make a page for his album that captured his favorite activity.

The journaling reads:

Video games are your #1 passion in life. You have a Nintendo Game Cube, a Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP, and thanks to a recent Christmas gift, you also have a Sony Playstation 2 system. You read the manuals and visit the official websites for clues and cheats. The game guides are some of your most valued possessions and at times you even own the guide for months (or years) before you actually get the game. The systems have been gifts given to you for birthdays or Chrismas. The games are the rewards you earn from your token system. Some- times it takes you a long time to earn a game, but I think that makes them even more enjoyable to play. Recently, you have been excited about games that come with a fun accessory like the Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Game Cube game that included these bongo drums. Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix is another one that you were thrilled to add to your collection and it came with a dance mat that you can plug right into your Game Cube. I’m so glad that you live in a time when the technology to have fun is so readily available!

I got the idea for the layout design from a "simple scheme" blueprint in the Simple Scrapbooks Nov/Dec 2005 issue. All papers and elements are from Ashley Olson's Boy Board Shorts kit at Scrapbook Bytes. The font is Aquaduct.

Are you scrapping the everyday events in life? What games you play? What shows you watch? Sometimes these can be some of the most meaningful pages. They are also a great way to capture what our life is really like right now and are fun to look back on later.

Happy Scrapping!
