Scrapping for a good cause - Leukemia

Beauty Pageant

Shabby Princess pretty much rules the digital kingdom with her generous free downloads, and now she has donated 100% of the proceeds from her Bluebell Road kit to charity for all purchases made before May 14th. This kit benefits the National DMAN Hero Light the Night Team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. You can purchase this wonderful kit in the Shabby Shoppe.

Here is the gorgeous preview:

I've had this kit for awhile and this post motivated me to finally create a layout with it.

I love the quote that came with this kit so I thought I would share it here since I am going to combine my quote blog with this one.

I also got another layout done yesterday - this one is for my kids, and scrapping for my family is also a good cause!

I used the Fresh Dreams kit by Trish Jones which I love because green is both my son's and my husband's favorite color!

One last note for today...I got this in the mail yesterday! I only ordered it on Monday night so I was thrilled at how fast it came. I've already read more than half of the book and I love it! Totally recommend this one.

Thumbs Up

Have a happy Thursday (boy this week is going fast!)

Katie I love your breathless layout! I've had that kit for quite some time now myself and still haven't done anything with it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting about this!!! I am so blessed to have this little guys Mommy, Janelle, as one of my best friends and it was through The Shabby Princess that we were able to do this project to help raise money for Angel Daegen and his family for research. I have made several LO's using this kit, love it!!! They are in my profile on 2peas.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased this kit from The Shabby Princess, is is the absolute best!!!

Check out Daegan's website for more info.

And the really cool thing, is Daegen's mommy wrote the poems in the kit and the rainbow paper in the kit is a the picture of a rainbow that I took on the day of his funeral, it was awesome.

He always told his mommy and daddy that when he went to heaven he was going to slide down the rainbows and make flowers out of the clouds, so the sky, in all it's majesty, is very meaningful to the family.

Thanks again girl, you are so great to post this.

Kay :)

Everyone seems to rave about that book. Does the book cover mostly one-picture-per-page layouts, or does it do multiple pictures per page? I always have two to five pictures per page and don't want to invest in a book that doesn't give any advice for that. Thanks.
